CLARENCE L. BUEHNE
Clarence L. Buehne, 84, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2011. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Village Presbyterian Church; burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 7th at the D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel. The family suggests contributions to The American Cancer Society in memory of Martha Buehne.
Clarence was born November 6, 1926 in St. Louis, MO and raised in New Franklin, MO on the family farm. He graduated from Booneville High School and received his Bachelor’s degree from Rockhurst College. Clarence was a Korean War Army Veteran. He worked his entire career for International Harvester which later became Navistar and retired from there after 33 years of service. Clarence was an active member of Village Presbyterian Church for over 50 years and was a member of Jenkins (Schmitt) Organ Club. He was the treasurer for the local Navistar retirement group.
Clarence was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Martha Buehne. Survivors include his children: Rick (Donna) Buehne; Nancy (Steve) Wilton; Steve (Nancy) Buehne; Bob (Cindy) Buehne; a sister Dorothy Freist; 6 grandchildren: Michael Wilton, Jennifer Wilton, Alyssa Buehne, Aaron Buehne, Kristen Buehne, Jonathan Buehne.
