Chet was born June 9, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois. He served in the U.S. Air Force as part of the 4061 Air Refueling Wing in the late 1950?s. He met his wife of 43 years, Gloria, in Chicago and they married in 1965. He moved his family to Overland Park in 1974. Chet was an active member of Bethany Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Turner; sons, Mark (Jenna) Turner of Denver, CO and Scott (Lisa) Turner of Overland Park, KS; and two grandchildren, Caleb and Ethan Turner.
