CAROLYN THOM
Carolyn Thom, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 27th from complications of Alzheimer’s. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 3rd at the D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel; burial in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Crossroads Hospice, 9237 Ward Pkwy Ste 300, Kansas City, MO 64114.
Carolyn was born April 2, 1928 in Morristown, MN to Paul and Clara Heyer. Carolyn retired from Wonder Bread thrift store (Shawnee) after 20 plus years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Fred, her three brother and two sisters. Carolyn is survived by her five sons: Jim (Jeannie), Mike, Craig (Susie), Doug (Deana), Mark (Doni); and daughter Patty (Art). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
