Brandon M. Truschinger, 16, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011. A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, August 17th from 6-8 p.m. at Cross Points Church, 6824 Lackman Rd., Shawnee, KS.
Brandon was born March 29, 1995. He spent the first six months of his life at Children’s Mercy Hospital in the neonatal intensive care unit. Brandon courageously battled multiple medical conditions and won over the hearts of many nurses and doctors. He attended Santa Fe Trail Elementary School, and later Antioch Middle School, and was to begin his junior year at Shawnee Mission North on Tuesday, August 16th. Brandon had the most infectious smile and touched many lives in his short life. Survivors include his parents, Michael and Rhonda Truschinger; his brother, Jonathan Truschinger; and his sister, Lauren Truschinger; maternal grandparents, Lyle and Hedy Borrowman; paternal grandparents, Joe Truschinger and Virginia Yearwood; and multiple extended family members.
Brandon had many friends and loved interacting with them. He loved listening to Jonathan’s rock band, and watching TV with Lauren. Brandon loved to travel to Disney World, and no trip was complete without seeing his idol, Mickey Mouse. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and everyone who knew him.
