BONNIE RUGGER JANDT

Bonnie Rugger Jandt, 87, of Leawood, KS, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2010 at Shawnee Gardens Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Shawnee, Kansas. Visitation will be 1-2pm Wednesday December 22, 2010 at the D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel; graveside services will be immediately following the visitation at 2:30 pm at Corinth Cemetery, 3301 W. 83rd Street, Prairie Village, KS.
Bonnie was born in Sioux City, Iowa to C. Roy Rugger and Nellie Marguerite Waggoner Rugger. She graduated from the University of Nebraska, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Bonnie loved people. She was happiest when surrounded by her children at holidays and special occasions, listening to them sing. Her quiet, clever wit would catch people off guard and endear her to them even more. Benji and Tasha, her dear little doggies, provided her with playful companionship and joy in later years. She will be remembered as a woman of grace who always enjoyed entertaining her friends and family.
Survivors include her children: son James Jandt and wife Lyn, daughter Maggie Gochenour and husband Terry, daughter Mary Beth Hiddle and grandchildren Megan Stock and Billy Hiddle; as well as numerous cousins and friends. Special thanks to Kansas City Hospice, Shawnee Gardens Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, and Bickford Mission Springs for their loving, compassionate care. Memorials may be made to Parkinson’s Foundation, Kansas City Hospice, and American Cancer Society. Share a memory, sign an online guestbook, or express your condolences at www.overlandparkchapel.com
