BILLIE SUE BOYD
Billie Sue Boyd, 82, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday April 29th at the De Soto Baptist Church, 8655 Church Street, De Soto, KS; burial in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel.
Billie was born October 13, 1928 in Council Hill, OK to Cecil and Ruby (Chapman) Carr. She attended Cathy School and graduated from Eufaula High School in 1946. Billie married Jesse C. Boyd in December 1951 in Eufaula, OK. She was a member of De Soto Baptist Church. Billie was preceded in death by her parents; brother Joe Bob Carr. Survivors include her husband of nearly 60 years, Jesse C. Boyd; 2 sons: Steve, Tim; 5 grandchildren: Margaret, Elizabeth, Daniela, Micah, and Hannah; 1 brother: Cecil Carr.
She was a great wife, mother, and grandmother. Billie never met anybody that didn’t like her. She will be missed by all.
