Mrs. Betty Hutton

Betty G. Hutton, age 90, passed away Monday, May 25, 2009 at Sunrise of Lenexa, Lenexa, KS.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 5th at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Burial to follow at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens, Shawnee, KS.
Betty was the daughter of John Russell and Bernice Pennie. She was born and raised in Fort. Scott, Kansas. Attending Fort Scott High School Betty met the love of her life James L. Hutton Sr. They married in 1941 while James was serving in the U.S. Navy during W.W.II. After the war they moved to the Kansas City area, where they raised their children. Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be missed by her family. Betty is preceded in death by her husband James L. Hutton Sr. Survivors include her son, James L. “Skip” Hutton and wife Toni of Lenexa, KS and daughter, Cinda Holzwart of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Rebecca Hutton of Kansas City, KS, Laurie Hutton of Charlotte, NC and Stephanie and Scott Holzwart of Atlanta, GA. The family wishes to extend a special Thank-You to the staff of the Sunrise Assisted Living of Lenexa and Vitas Hospice for the excellent care given to Betty.
