Barbara Rocklage

Barbara Ann Rocklage moved to her Heavenly Home on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017. She was born to Zell and Georgia Rose Poe in McFall, Missouri on March 7, 1932.
Barbara graduated from Central High School in St. Joseph, Missouri and received an Associate Degree from St. Joseph Junior College and graduated from Platte-Garde Business College. She was a secretary at GAB Insurance for many years. Barbara’s love for children resulted in her teaching in the Children’s Sunday School Department for many years at Nall Avenue Baptist Church where she was an active member since 1960. She and her husband, Charles celebrated their 63rd Wedding Anniversary this past January.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Patricia McDowell and niece, Diane Knisley.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Rocklage; daughter, Pamela (Michael) Miller; son, Mark (Linda) Rocklage; sister, Candy Winkelman; sister-in-law, Jean Welch; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday evening, April 20th from 6-8 pm at the Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf Ave., OP, KS 66204. A private graveside will be Friday Morning, April 21st in St. Joseph, MO., and a memorial service will be at 4:00 pm Friday at the Nall Avenue Baptist Church, 6701 Nall Ave., PV, KS 66208. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nall Avenue Baptist Church.
