Barbara J. McDonald, 82, of Prairie Village, Kansas passed away Thursday, October 2, 2008 at home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 7th at St. Ann Catholic Church, 7231 Mission Road, Prairie Village, Kansas 66208. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. with a rosary at 5:00 P.M. at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas 66204. Burial in Forest Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Wayside Waifs Humane Society, 3901 Martha Truman Road, Kansas City, MO 64137.
Barbara was a longtime administrative employee of the Kansas City Missouri School District, serving the purchasing division from 1951 -1990. Barbara loved animals, especially her cat Squeeky. She loved living in Kansas City and enjoyed dining out and watching old movies. She was a strong believer of her faith. She will be dearly missed by a close friend Mathew, her sister Margaret, and two nephews John and Scott.
