Annabelle L. Howard, 91, passed away April 29th 2017. There will be no services. Annabelle was living at Bickford Assisted Living in Mission and suffered from Alzheimer’s disease.
She was born January 8, 1926 in Springfield, MO., to William Floyd and Johnnie (Thompson) Lusk. She lived in the Kansas City area her entire life. Annabelle was a 1944 graduate of North Kansas City High School. On December 20, 1947, she married her loving husband, Ross Howard in Kansas City, MO. They had met at the Pla-Mor Ballroom in Kansas City.
Annabelle was an active volunteer for Safehome, Keys Youth Services and other organizations, while volunteering she received volunteer of the year at Safehome, and also received a special volunteer award from Keys Youth Services. She was a past officer in the Shawnee Historical Society.
She was an antique dealer specializing in country and primitive antiques. She also was an artist and displayed her paintings and other crafts at various craft fairs in the area.
Annabelle was preceded in death by her daughter, Valerie; two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her husband, Ross as well as nieces and nephews.
