Anna Belle Timberlake Laven passed away May 1, 2010, at the age of 90. At the time of her death she was residing at the Sweet Life on Rosehill in Shawnee. Anna Belle was born on Nov. 18, 1918, in Linwood, Kan., to Dessie Pearl Hoffme Timberlake and Joseph Johnson Timberlake. On Jan. 11, 1947, she was united in marriage to Bernard E Laven. They spent their entire married life in the Kansas City area. She was a homemaker and seamstress who enjoyed doing crafts. A long time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, she was active in many capacities. Anna Belle was a very outgoing lady who enjoyed many friendships. She was very devoted to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her step-mother, Nora and her three brothers, Joseph, Edwin and Roland. Anna Belle is survived by her son, BJ and his wife Patty of Lenexa, and her daughter, Nancy Grieshaber and her husband Tom of Manhattan, Kan. Her three grandchildren, Ginger Rash and husband Kevin of Springfield, Mo., Jennifer Robinson and husband Matt of Olathe, and Jeff Grieshaber and wife Aubrey of Manhattan, Kan., also survive. Anna Belle doted on her six great grandchildren, Drew, Ben and Natalie Rash, Sydney and Riley Robinson and Blade Grieshaber. Her sister-in-law, Betty Timberlake and several nieces and nephews are all a part of her extended family who survive. The family wishes to thank the staff of The Sweet Life at Rosehill for all the loving care extended to Anna Belle the past several years. The team of professionals from Grace Hospice provided for her in the most tender and compassionate manner during the past several months. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, with visitation before the service from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1700 Westport Rd, Kansas City Mo. Burial at Lenape Cemetery, Linwood Kan.
