Miss Ann Armbruster
October 21, 1913 — September 22, 2008
Ann Theresa Armbruster died Monday, September 22, 2008 at the age of 94. Born October 21, 1913 in St. Louis, MO, she was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Rose Armbruster, and by all of her siblings (one sister and six brothers).
Ann graduated from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in Kansas City, and later earned a B.S. degree in Nursing Education from St. Louis University, and an M.A. degree in Theology from St. Mary?s College at Notre Dame. She taught Nursing in the Kansas City area for many years. In 1972 she retired from St. Mary?s Hospital School of Nursing where she was director.
Ann spent many years in service to others, working with Shawnee Mission Meals-On-Wheels for 30 years and teaching religion classes at her parish for 22 years. Her positive influence helped shape the character and values of many young people. She is survived by many dear friends, nieces and nephews.
