A.J. was born March 28, 1921, in Padua, MN, the fourth of eleven children of Catherine and John who with two brothers, Othmar and Sylvester, and two sisters, Lucille and Lidwina, preceded him in death. Remaining are two brothers, David and Jerome and four sisters, Sylvia, Alfrieda, Frances and Henrietta.
After serving in Guam in WWII, Ambrose worked as a Federal Government supervisory accountant for 30 years. An early member of Holy Cross, he ushered for many years. In later life he enjoyed dancing, traveling and sharing special times with family and friends.
A.J. and Harriette, wife of 44 years who died in 1987, had one son Theodore and three daughters, Diana (Dario) Menanteau, Paula (Jack) Gustin and Roxanne Felling, seven grandchildren, all professionals, and four great-grandchildren.
A devoted husband and father, he always offered needed support before it was requested. He celebrated the successes of all family members and was a favorite uncle of many nieces and nephews. We will miss his wonderful sense of humor and upbeat personality.
