Alice Irene Putney, 81, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011. A funeral Mass will be said 10:00 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2011 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11300 W. 103rd, Overland Park, KS ; burial in Leavenworth National Cemetery Monday, Jan. 2, 2012. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the church.
Alice was born March 12, 1930 in Dallas County, IA to Marion and Stella Boyer. She was married to Thompson Putney Sept. 1952. Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years; her parents; and four siblings: Albert Bruce Carl, Eunice Boyer Sadler, Opal Boyer Gorden, Floyd Duane Boyer, and Virginia Brush. Survivors include a son, Terry (Mary) Putney, a son Doug Putney; grandchildren: Ann and Robert; her sisters: Marjorie Schlapkohl, and Gladys Boyer.
