ALFRETTA Q. ADAMS
On August 18, 1924, Alfretta Baskins was the fifth child born to James L. Baskins and Arsia D. Morris-Baskins. Both parents preceded her in death.
The family lived in Morilton, Arkansas and later moved to Kansas City, KS. There she attended public school in South Park, KS and later completed her education in Kansas City, KS. While in school she met and married Nathaniel Adams. To this union four sons were born.

Alfretta served on several Masonic Lodges in Kansas City. She was an excellent seamstress sewing clothes, robes, curtains, etc. for her church, lodge members and neighbors. Anything you wanted she could and would make it. She loved to serve; in her church as president of the Mission board, Sunday School teacher, deaconess; in her community, member of the PTA and neighborhood groups. Where her talents and gifts were needed, she rendered them.
